ICSA Individual Awards

The ICSA All-America Sailing Team, sponsored by Ronstan International

The All-America Sailing Team is announced each year at the conclusion of the North American Dinghy Championship and includes

a. All-Americans (skippers or crews; men or women)
b. Women's All-Americans (skippers or crews;

women only)

c. Crew All-Americans (men or women)
d. Honorable Mentions in the first two categories
e. The College Sailor of the Year (winner of the

Everett B. Morris Trophy)

f. The Sportsman of the Year (winner of the

Robert H. Hobbs Trophy)

The Team is chosen by the ICSA All-America Selection Committee, which includes one representative from each District. Selection is based on performance throughout the year, with emphasis on Intersectional events, District Championships, North American Championships, and observed skills. Nominations may be submitted by any interested individual to the Chair of the committee, listed on the bottom of the sample nomination form in this Manual, and are due no later than 15 May. Nominations may also be submitted by any member of the committee.

The ICSA Hall of Fame

The ICSA Hall of Fame is located in the Robert Crown Center at the U.S. Naval Academy. Each year a select number of individuals are inducted in the following categories

a. Lifetime Service

Ordinarily limited to one selected person per year who has passed his/her 60th birthday

b. Outstanding Service to ICSA

1. Volunteers who have contributed time,

talent, or resources; ordinarily no more than two persons per year who have passed their 45th birthdays

2. Professional Staff, including organizers,

administrators, advisors, and coaches; ordinarily no more than two persons per year who have passed their 45th birthdays

c. Student Leadership

Recognizing that undergraduate whose extraordinary leadership and achievement have made a significant contribution to the development, progress, and success of his/her club or team, District, or the ICSA

Inductees are chosen by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee, which includes one representative from each District, and are announced at the annual Afterguard event in the late spring or at another time as appropriate. Nominations may be made by any interested individual, the Districts, or members of the committee. All nominations must include the nominee's full name, college and year of graduation, accurate current home address, date of birth, and a detailed statement supporting the nomination.

Nominations in the Lifetime and Outstanding Service categories are due no later than 1 January. Nominations for the Student Leadership award are due no later than 1 April.

All nominations must be submitted in writing to the chair of the committee as listed in the ICSA Directory.
